Are you looking for someone to work on a project? Or need someone to add some support or expertise to your team? Work with me!
I have many years of experience with Unity, C#, and leading XR platforms and devices. I am also well versed in Web3D technologies such as Babylon.js and glTF.
I have a degree in Computer Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and have a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
I am reliable, detail oriented, and passionate about what I work on. Check out my LinkedIn profile to see more about my skill set, past projects, and published experiences.
I generally work like a full-time employee but without the overhead and risk involved in hiring someone full-time.
I work on projects in blocks of time per week at an hourly rate – full (40hrs), half (20hrs), or quarter (10hrs). I can ramp up or down as needed and based on availability. This works well in an iterative agile development process where there are regular sprints, standups, and deliverables.
With this approach trust is quickly developed and if there are any issues with work direction or product they can be immediately addressed.
I generally don’t do pre-estimated fixed price contracts unless it is a very small project under my full control. It is extremely difficult and time consuming to estimate any complex software project with many unknowns especially if it involves an existing complex system with a significant amount of technical debt.
For this reason the results are better and less costly to just work iteratively at an hourly rate than making over inflated estimates based on partial understanding and uncertainty. Solid schedules and estimates can usually be determined early on in projects in an iterative manner as a clear picture is formed of existing systems and requirements.
